Marc H. Schtul – Denver Attorney

Marc H. Schtul is an experienced family law attorney, mediator, and trial advocate with more than 30 years of litigation and dispute-resolution experience. His background as both an attorney and a CPA (inactive) provides a valuable perspective in matters involving complex financial issues, business interests, property division, and high-asset divorces. Marc earned his J.D. and B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Denver. He is admitted to practice in Colorado, the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, and the Supreme Court of the United States. His career has included family law, civil and commercial litigation, mediation, and arbitration, including more than 20 years as a FINRA securities arbitrator. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association and the Douglas/Elbert Bar Association. Marc believes in providing clients with practical advice, candid assessments, and a clear strategy tailored to their goals. He is prepared to aggressively litigate when necessary while recognizing that a thoughtful, negotiated resolution can often provide families with better and more lasting results. Outside the office, Marc has been married to his wife, Barb Weinstein, since 1991. They have a daughter, Kyle, who works at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and a dachshund named Charlie, who is an important member of the family. Marc is a devoted Denver Broncos fan, enjoys playing poker, and he and Barb love to travel.
